The Research on TC Bit Used in the Tertiary Sandstone Conglomerate and Sandstone Formations in the Song-Liao Basin

Abstract:A few kinds of tungsten carbide insert bit for drilling sand rock with gravel, sand or gravel etc, were designed and tested. It was concluded that the diameter of the bit should be a little bit larger than the required diameter of borehole and half spherical tungsten carbide inserts should be selected as main cutters for drilling in the above formations.
