Research on Water-quench Technique for Drill Pipe Joint |

Abstract:Research analysis was made on the water-quench heat treatment for petroleum drill pipe joint. The paper introduced the comparative test of hardness and hardness uniformity by water-quench and oil-quench processes; and also introduced the effect of quenching liquid to the cooling rate of drill pipe joints under different conditions. The research result shows that the water quench process can improve the degree of martensite of drill pipe joints with the quality of quench enhancing. |
