Since the flood in 1998, the engineering to control the seepage though dam foundations have increased rapidly, varieties of technical method concerned are widely used. High pressure jet grouting is one of these methods. The article discribed the different behaviours and shortcomings of these methods. The application status, application ranges, mechanism of seepage prevention, technical parameters, using techniques and the inspection methods of quality for the high pressure jet grouting technique are stressed.
