Focusing on design of nozzle—the crucial element of boring hydraulic mining, the test data were analyzed and researched based on the experiments of small diameter nozzles. The nozzle design conception was brought forward. The patterns and types of nozzle were selected. Different alternatives for boring hydraulic mining were proposed on the characteristics of various formations. The rock broken mechanism and broken ability of water jet under the high pressure submerged down the hole were studied.
