The general methods to determine the ultimate bearing capacity of single pile in geotechnical engineering are narrated. The chief factors affected the ultimate bearing capacity of single pile are discusses. Upon this basis, using the stochastic-fuzzy method determines the ultimate bearing capacity of single pile and gives illustrative examples. The primary study manifests that this method is objective and comprehensive as compared to the general statistical method.
