Erosion and encrustation universally exists in steel casing which is used in medium depth geothermal well. Primary study was conducted on erosion and encrustation of steel casing used in Henan geothermal wells. Indoor tests were made with different materials and under different water temperatures. The measurement was made by down well colored TV. Suggestion on reduction of erosion and encrustation of steel casings was put forwards.
