This article introduces casing drilling, a new drilling technology in petroleum drilling field, referring to its characteristics, advantages, development history and current status of its research and application. The possible advantages and application prospects of casing drilling in geological exploration drilling are analyzed and proposals on the research and development of casing drilling technology for geological exploration have been put forward.
