Using Pareto diagram (Plato method) of statistical methods, the analysis is made on the types of frequent accidents in geological drilling in coal production and influencing factors of the “three violations”. The major accidents in production safety, the causes of hidden danger in safety and the key precautionary measures are pointed out.
