    Abstract:

A testing method of drill core's mechanical properties, triaxial stress testing, is described.Based on testing of partial cores taken in two areas, some rock mechanical parameters such as Poison's ratio,Young's modulus, tensile strength are determined. Analysis of the data indicates both that Poison's ratio and Young's modulus increase with the confined pressure. The empirical relationship formula is presented.
