Plastic drainage board is widely used in soft foundation consolidation for dike, road, dock, sluice, etc. It was used to drain the water in the foundation in order to increase the effective stress in soil particles to accelerate the consolidation settlement of the foundation and improve the strength. This technology has been successful applied in the flood control project of Bali Lake dike in Jiujiang City.
