In the construction of geothermal well in neogene in Hebei plain, gravel-filling technology was adopted with the advantages of sand control and borehole wall stability. Based on the practice, the paper put forward the gradation scheme for pipe diameters, summed up the mud replacement technology and analyzed the calculation method for gravel-filling quantity, principle of gravel-filling speed and the feasibility of static water gravel-filling.
