Horizontal water well is effective for shallow low permeable aquifer groundwater extraction. The construction procedures include well drilling, bore hole reaming, well forming, gravel packing and well development. The technical issue of horizontal directional drilling technology is discussed in the paper, pre-packed well screen was developed and proper drilling method for horizontal well construction was proposed. It provides a new way for shallow low permeable aquifer groundwater extraction.
