The achievements and progresses made in geo-drilling by China Nuclear Geology during the Eleventh Five-year Plan Period are reviewed and summarized in terms of drilling operations, drilling R & D, drilling project management, drilling capacity building, and drilling force construction. A concept of ‘enhance talent cultivation, improve technological innovation, intensify capacity building, and implement fine management’ is proposed for the Twelfth Plan Period.
