ThefoundationpitwaterinrushincidentontheundergroundspacefirstＧstageworksinthecentralareaof theJiangbeiNewDistrict,Nanjinghappenedduetolackofcompactionofthebackfillingintheabandonedpileholes inthefoundationpit,whichcausedtheconfinedwaterinthedeeppressurizedaquifertopenetratetheabandonedpile holes,leadingtothewaterinrushincident．Aftertheincident,theholeswerebackfilledwithconcretetocounter waterinrush,andthengroutedtosealoff．Butnoneofthemsucceeded．Throughinvestigationandanalysis,the dewateringprogram wasadopted,wherebythedeepconfined waterlevelwasloweredbelowthe waterinrush positionandgroutwasinjectedtosealoffwithoutthegushingwater．Thisdewateringprogramtook１８daysto successfullyresolvethewaterinrushincident,whichcanprovideusefulexperienceforsimilarprojects
