      Abstract:he completion methods of oil and gas wells are an important part of completion technology, we have built a DBMS of well completion; and, based on it, the CMES and fuzzy evaluation systems are built to optimize the completion method, and a great progress has been made in the study of well completion. With this two systems, we optimized the completion method of the deep exploratory wells in Xinjiang area. It plays a positive role in the exploration and develop ment of oil and gas reservoirs in Xinjiang.

      Abstract:any technical revolutions had happened in the histroy of human beings; but, at present, it is different from the past technical revolutions. It includes new material, biological engineering, fibre-optic bundle, new energy, ocean and space technique, and its center is microelectronic and information processing technique.The development of the new technique revolution impelled the geology science to expand toward inter and outer spaces. It was almost at the same time that people began to study them,but, when some people began to drill the first scientific well which the design depth was 15,000m for exploring the secret of the deep part of the earth in Kola peninsular of Russia in 1970,some other people had successfully drilled on the surface of the moon, and returned to the earth with some samples.The report discusses that the scientific drilling was a big and complex system project which is related to harmonizing application of many subjects' knowledge. It is not only a yardstick to measure the drilling technical level of a country, but also, it indicates the total scientific and technical level of a country and its position in the world.The report emphasizes the influences of microelectronic technique, information processingtechnique and new material on the scientific drilling and the contributions of scientific drilling to new energy technique, ocean and space technique under the new technical revolution. Lastly, it concludes that the scientific drilling is a necessary part of new technical revolution, but, the former couldn't be separated from the latter, and the latter is the technical foundation of the former, and as the new technical revolution continually developing, it will impel scientific drilling to proceed forward faster, better and deeper.

    • Reverse Circulation DTH Hammer Drilling Technique and Its Application

      Abstract:everse circulation DTH hammer drilling technique which has been developed and innovated on the basis of conventional fluid circulation DTH hammer drilling technique combines together three advanced methods-DTH hammer's percussive rock breaking, transportation of cuttings by reverse circulation and continuous coring during drilling operations. So it finds wide application in the fields of mineral and geological coring exploration, hydrogeological water well drilling, large diameter rock embedded foundation pile boring. Because of this technique's application, many difficulties of engineering drilling have been overcome, remarkable benefits have been achieved.The software of microcomputer calculation of artificial imitation on DTH hammer and its optimizing design on DTH hammer drilling parameters have been done to reveal the internal power process and rules of DTH hammer in detail so that scientific significance of DTH hammer design is increased. Because microcomputer calculation shows almost the same results as lab measurement, the process of testing the DTH has been simplified and the developing time is shortened.The development of series hollow-through DTH hammer constitutes the foundation of reverse circulation DTH hammer drilling technique. In DTH hammer a central hollow passageway is designed to allow reverse circulating medium, cores and cuttings to get through. Because of its proper structure, its working characteristics are exellent and reliable.In order to establish a stable, reliable reverse circulation flow to perform continous sampling during drilling operations, a bit suitable for reverse circulation DTH hammer drilling has been specially developed and manufactured successfully. This special bit may insure circulating medium flow into the central passageway to carry cores and cuttings toward the surface and never results in core blockage.Reverse circulation DTH hammer drilling technique has been widely applied in many fields such as engineering drilling. In solid mineral exploration in complex formations which are extremely hard to penetrate, easily fractured and collapsed, low coring recovery rate, etc. this technique shows its significant efficiency, every drill index increases obviously. In hydrogeological, water-well drilling through the rock this technique has completely overcome following difficulties: difficult to remove the fragments, no way to core and dust pollution around the hole top. Then this technique becomes more and more perfect. Applied in large diameter foundation pile boring, this technique may increase efficiency over 10 times compared with the conventional drilling methods, shorten construction period obviously and improve drilling quality greatly.

    • Application and Development of CSR Drilling Method in Mineral Exploration of China

      Abstract:his paper comprehensively discusses the application and development of Centre Sample Recovery(CSR) method in the solid mineral exploration of China, with emphasis on the development and innovation by China through the process of CSR.Due to the limitation of the national conditions of China, it is impossible to copy the models of developed countries that use the more powerful drilling machines and stronger tools than that actually needed. So we have determined that our development orientation is to develop CSR drilling mainly for small diameter holes rather than unilaterally pursue the modernization of drilling machines. Based on the status of CSR used in foreign countries and the test results in China, it is confirmed in theory that the small diameter of CSR can also completely meet the geological requirements. The test data is provided as examples, which were collected from the bauxite drilling by spindle type core drill with 73mm dual-wall drill string to confirm the reasonability and reliability of the small diameter CSR method.Currently, it is difficult to process the moist samples in site when using CSR in the water beating stratum according to the foreign driller's experiences. To solve this problem, we set up a special team and put a lot of fund into the research. UP to now, we have made breakthroughs in processing the moist samples. We have developed a separator which can rapidly separate a various diameter range of moist samples in site. Although in the case that water influx volume in hole amounts to 30m3/h, the size of the samples which are larger than 200 meshes can be separated timely. Therefor the numbers of sample containers used in sampling can be cut down greatly, and the labour intensity of samplers can be reduced. Also the sample omitting, the sample confusing and the sample mixture can be avoided. Thereby the reliability and the representativeness can be ensured.In addition, both the 73mm and 89mm dual-wall drilling accessaries that we have developed can not only be suitably used with hydraulic top drive rigs, but also be suitably used with existing spindle type core drilling. Using those dual-wall drilling accessaries we have got higher drilling efficiency than the conventional core drilling, and continuous reverse circulation core drilling can also be achieved. The cores can provide such information as the stratum dip strike, specific gravity, and other natures which the conventional samples can not present. Undoubtedly it is a great development and innovation on CSR.

      Abstract:wo wells some hundreds meters apart to be intersected in the depths underground are subject to identical space coordinate at the intersecting point. Much importance was attached to wellbore-intersecting design, trajectory controlling, the drilling of horizontal Interval, wellbore stability and data processing. To this end, a practical prediction of wellborn trajectory was modelled, optimied drilling with downhole prediction was adopted, diamond bit and drilling tools for building angle were researched and developed. Six pairs of brine wells have been intersected successfully by controlled directional drilling using downhole mud motor. Among them,one pair of mid- radius horizontal wells was intersected, another pair comprising a mid-radius horizontal well and a straight well was intersected. Principal specifications are shown as table 1.Using the wellbore-intersecting technology, traditional single-wells were turned into a through twin-well to extract aqui-soluble brine, from which the output is over three times more than the sum of that from two of single-well; ore recovery had seen a doubling; brine concentration registered a 15 % -20% rise; innal costs of mine construction can be cut by 47 %;the through well can last 20-year with less downhole failure. This technology can be used for production drilling of uranium and soluble deposits, deeply hidden deposit exploration, and coal-bed gas exploitation

      Abstract:A new kind of areated foam mud technical system unused air compressor was first discussed in the paper. It adopts to the complex drilling with its low density, high viscosity and low filter ation loss in the conditions of low pressure, lost circulation, hole wall unstablity, dry and leacking water. Its many fine characteristics have been shown about shear thinning, cuttings transportation, lubricating and resistance reduction, hole wall maintenance, loss prevention through our research. In this paper, we present formation and quality of foam, lubrification,rheology, cuttings removal and polluttion prevention (ion or temperature etc. ) from the preparation of new type DF foam agent, optimum formula, evaluation of rheological parameters etc.,and put forward a series of drilling technology of areated foam mud and surface equipment. The great technical and economical benefits have been achieved in the geological drilling, water well drilling, oil and gas drilling, geothermal drilling and engineering geologic drilling.In addition, we first set up new view points on mechanism of hole wall maintenance and loss prevention through the research of microstructure of filter cakes of foam mud. It is that it prevents the invasion of free water and lost circulation through wellbore wall because of the action of adsorption and grouping of stable foam on wellbore and adsorption layer of foam with the advantage of hydrophobicity, viscoelasticity and barrier of foam with phasefacies and grouping strneture.

      Abstract:Considering the feature of the sand samples being easily disturbed, a swivel type rotary-push sand sampler is developed. Quality control of the samples is carried out in regard to each procedure in the entire process of recovering, taking out and preparation of the sample. It offers a solution to the technical problem of obtaining the deep buried undisturbed sand sample encountered in the Water Transfer Project from the South China to the North China and the Three Gorges Project.

The dam site treatment depends on the geological conditions and the construction methods include trench-cutting without pilot hole, trench-cutting with pilot hole, percussive trenching, rotsry trenching and trenching by trench saw. The trench saw provides a new construction method for the new seepage cut-off walling material, but has its limitation.
