Abstract:The design and construction method of hand dug piles with post grouting by the driven tube at the pile end is introduced with reference to the field cases. Not only does it eliminate the manual underreaming process in the sand layer with pressure bearing water, but also increase the single pile bearing capacity.

Abstract:The mechanism of increase of the bore pile bearing capacity by post grouting has been further understood through analysis of the testing results of bored piles with post grouting in Shanghai. Some suggestions on how to use the post grouting technique properly is put forward.
