Abstract:Exploration engineering is an important technical method for geological resource exploration and earth geo-scientific research, which is the sole mean to get sample from the underground. No matter deposit exploration, evaluation and the exploration & utilization of new energy resource, or the crust exploration project, technology of exploration engineering is necessary. Preliminary discussion was made on the main function and mission of current geological work, the function and the position of exploration engineering and the development trend and research orientation with the hope to change ‘science superior to technique’ in geological community in China.

Abstract:This article introduces the selection of core drilling method for the second borehole of Wenchuan Earthquake Scientific Drilling Project. According to the formation condition of Longmenshan fault zone and on the basis of technical and economical evaluation on the existing core drilling methods, top-drive and wireline coring method has been selected out as the deep hole coring method of Wenchuan Earthquake Scientific Drilling Project.

Abstract:In order to solve the problems of difficult coring operation in the hard and broken ground with bad quality of coal core and low core recovery, sealed coring tools were used, which could basically meet the coring requirement of coal-bed gas well. Configuration features and work principles of sealed coring tools were introduced in this paper. The field practice in Inner Mongolia showed that high core recovery (more than 85%)could be obtained by using sealed coring tools.

Abstract:Longgang structure is an important region of deep gas exploration and development in northern Sichuan basin. Aiming at the problems of long open hole in intermediate casing interval and several clusters of oil and gas layer; and because oil gas showed frequently and strongly, well kick and lost circulation existed simultaneity, main technical measures such as borehole preparation, casing selecting, optimization of cement system and formula, construction technology of ground etc. are integrated and optimized to improve cementing quality in the process of 2445mm intermediate casing cementing. Empty well cementing and pre-stress cementing technology were adopted to ensure the intermediate casing cementing quality of Longgang structure.

Abstract:In order to meet the need for air drilling and economy, combined casing string design was firstly applied in well Gulong 1, which is the deepest risk exploration well of Daqing oil field. At the same time, tri-axial stress intensity check was made on the case design and the errors in the intensity design were analyzed with a new set of safe and economic casing string design method.

Abstract:High sand content rate and unstable borehole wall exist in common geological well in Renqiu, and the gradation of 178mm pipe and 311mm diameter was chosen for the first gravel-filled geological well in this area. Borehole construction was completed under the logging instrument monitoring and mud property control; well construction was completed by -breaking mud layer of the wall and gravel-filling in static water level. It was proved the construction technology was feasible and quality of well completion was reliable by operation test.

Abstract:In the processes of modification from natural calcium bentonite into sodium bentonite, or from sodium bentonite into organic bentonite, mixing and extrusion has an important function in improving distribution of bentonite. By shearing action and broken bond, the average diameter of bentonite particle size is availably reduced, and the average quantity of its ξ-potential is increased.

Abstract:In the process of gas extraction borehole construction, drilling rod bears the effect of complex alternating stress, fractures usually appear in welding seams. Reasonable friction welding and heat treatment technology are effective technical avenue to improve the mechanical property of welding seams and to increase the service life of drilling rod.

Abstract:This paper roundly analyzed the main determinants of the trenchless pipe-laying in the track-oriented design, and reasonably analyzed the stratum properties and other construction conditions which impact on the build-up strength. Abstract:Pressure decentralized anchor cable has more rational stress performance and extensive engineering applicability, with which stress concentration in anchorage section and too early steel strand tensile failure caused by unevenly stressing can be avoided. It was applied more and more in fractured rock slope reinforcement in recent years with ideal effect. Based on an engineering case of emergency response to geological disaster in Guangzhou, the paper put forward the design principle and value according to the ultimate resistance of pull-out test on pressure decentralized anchor cable, and detailed the construction technology.

Abstract:Based on the geological exploration in the first and second railways of Xi’an to Ankang, the paper discussed the geological characteristics of karst phenomenon in the construction in the marine deposit extremely thick carbonate rock layer of carboniferous, Devonian and cambrian-ordovician, which developed in the hinterland of southern Qinling. According to the karst development degree and configuration revealed in the existing engineering construction, the karst was divided into vertical seepage karst zone and undersurface flow karst zone; and on this basis, it was put forward that different construction measures was applied for each karst type and part.
