Abstract:Drilling has been one of the first batch of techniques for human universe exploration. Take the example of lunar drilling, the paper discussed the drilling characteristics and the difficulties in other celestial bodies; introduced the light, reliable and automatic lunarsurface sampling machine, which was developed by the drilling experts and aerospace experts of US and the former Soviet, and the status of drilling technology; analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of various drilling schemes and proposed some ideas to the auto sampling and returning technology for “the Thirdphase of Chang’e Program”.

Abstract:According to freezing sampling method of gas hydrate with dry ice as refrigerant and alcohol as cooling agent, calculation was given for dry ice and alcohol consumption, and the consumption of dry ice and alcohol with the double-layer insulation were calculated out. The feasibility of the calculation method was verified through experiments and computer simulations. Considering the problems in the experiment, some improvement was suggested to the experimental device to provide a reference to sampler design.

Abstract:Dimensionless method is used to rewrite designing equations. The new dimensionless designing equations is of advantage to solving analytical solutions by using trigonometric function formula. The analytical solutions has simple mathematical form. The resolution of the designing equations is classified into two categories. For Class I problems with known maximum deviation angle, the analytical solutions can be derived directly by using the Cramer law of linear equations. For Class II problems with unknown maximum deviation angle, trigonometric function formulas is used to derive simple and uniform formula of analytical solutions, and to avoid the complexity of semi-angle equation for solving analytical solutions. Dimensionless method has certain universality and can be used to solve other 2D profile designing problems.

Abstract:In 2 years of construction practice, the new attempt was made on wire-line coring drilling technology for deep hole in soft formation about the technical equipment matching, borehole structure design, machine & bit selection and washing fluid. The practice proved that wire-line coring technology was feasible for deep hole drilling in soft formation, and drilling monthly efficiency increased over one time with good borehole quality and lower labor intensity.

Abstract:Coal reservoir of Wulan mine has the characteristics of soft & loose property, large inclined angle in drilled formation and shallow target bed, well trajectory control is difficult with serious leakage and cementing problem. Effective technical measures were adopted in well structure design, equipment selection, drill assembly, drilling parameter, well trajectory control, drilling fluid, casing and cementing; long-distance horizontal well in thin and soft-low permeability coal seam was realized (with the longest distance of 223.73m), which was successfully connected to the vertical well. Based on the analysis on the construction technology of coal bed methane horizontal opposing well in Wulan mine, the paper summed up the construction experience of horizontal opposing well in thin and soft-low permeability coal seam.

Abstract:According to the hole-shrinkage, block-falling and collapsing in different formations of Chaganhua area, silicon-aluminum complex amphitricha polymer inhibition and anti-collapse drilling fluid system was developed. Laboratory test study was made on AOS-1 (silicon-aluminum complex inhibition and anti-collapse additive) with in-door water sensitivity, compatibility and roll recovery tests, which was applied in 6 wells of this area. Test results showed the good compatibility of the new strong inhibition drilling fluid to other treating agents with strong inhibition, and hole-shrinkage and collapsing were overcome.

Abstract:According to the shift of reflected central wavelength of fiber grating caused by the changing of strain or temperature, an automatic multi-parameter fiber monitoring system was developed for geological disaster monitoring, and the amount of wavelength shift directly reflect changing amount of the strain and the temperature. The monitoring on strain, stress, pressure, temperature, displacement and vibration was realized by the changing of fiber grating encapsulation style and dotty quasi-distributing measure was realized through the design of arrangement for multiple central wavelengths of fiber grating to improve the technology of geological disasters monitoring.

Abstract:According to the limit on bending strength of drilling rod, the deflecting ability of continuous deflecting wire-line coring tool assembly is from 0.2° to 0.5°/m. To satisfy the requirement of wire-line coring, eccentric bearing structure was adopted in deflecting assembly design. Theoretical calculation was made on deflecting ability with geometry analysis method and limiting curature method. The results showed that designed deflecting ability was obtained, and the calculation result with beam-column theory was more exact to actual deflecting rate.

Abstract:Empirical formula of Duncan E-μ、E-B model can not simultaneously reflect the low confining pressure dilatancy deformation and high confining pressure shear contraction deformation in coarse-grained materials tri-axial shear test, and generalized hooke’s law, on which Duncan E-μ, E-B model is based, are not able to reflect the dilatancy characteristics of soils, so a new elasto plasticity constitutive model based on Shen Zhu-jiang’s double-yield surface theory is built by means of combining the volumetric strain laws presented by writer and Shen Zhu-jiang’s double-yield surface theory. This model can well reflect the soil dilatancy characteristic, accurately fit equal confining pressure shear test results, and can predict the test results of equal stress ratio path, equal average principal stress path, equal large principal stress, minor principal stress reduction path, equal minor principal stress and shear stress reduction path and so on.

Abstract:An excavation engineering was divided into 2 stages, pile-anchor reinforcement was necessary for the environment of soft ground and strict requirement for surrounding deformation. In order to avoid the anchoring hole-forming difficulty and make full use of slope protection-pile of 2-stage excavation to be the 1-stage anchor pile for lowering the engineering cost, the design was made by excavation sturcture of pile with horizontal tension anchor on ground, which was proved with good result. Abstract:The paper introduced a pile foundation engineering in limestone karst area, 364 cast-in-place piles were completed with the longest pile of 48m and largest pile diameter of 1.7m. Because of the complex formation, hole deflection, water inrushing, leakage and collapsing often occurred, and it was difficult to estimate the cave at the bottom of the pile hole and cave-penetrating. The difficulties were overcome by scientific judgment, strict prevention and careful treatment.

Abstract:There are lots of drilling and coring difficulties for exploration engineering in complex formations. The formation structure is usually unstable and broken with soft and hard layers interbedded, which makes the service life of drilling bit very short; and the accidents, such as hole collapse, block-falling, diameter shrinkage, leakage and water gushing, happen frequently, the drilling efficiency is hard to be improved. According to these problems, based on diamond wire-line coring drilling technology in current drilling engineering and by design improvement on diamond bit in tests, drilling efficiency and service life of drilling bit were both improved with drilling efficiency significantly increased and drilling accident reduced.

Abstract:Shield-driven is a key technology of shield-construction, but analysis on its stability is nearly a blank without calculation analysis methods, and the design mainly depends on the experience. Based on the design and construction of Tianpingjia Line 6# of Guangzhou metro, the paper made the analysis on the stability by means of finite difference procedure FLAC3D to simulate shield-driven, emphatically analyzed the stress field, destroyed field, and displacement field in different starting segment reinforcing ranges. The paper also discussed the reasonable thickness and strength. The research result is hopeful to provide theoretical basis and instruction for the design and construction of shield-driven.
