Abstract:The formation process of lunar regolith and the material composition are introduced, by the comparison of basic physical and mechanical indexes of lunar regolith with stimulated CUG-1 lunar regolith and common dry sand, it is indicated that in the lunar sample drilling process, hard aggregate (briquettes) with certain cementing strength may be encountered. The core task of the third stage lunar exploration project of China is to realize lunar drilling and sampling as well as returning, and obtain lunar regolith samples in deep layer with original bedding structure. Because of the extreme environment of lunar surface, the structure of coring tools should be simple to reduce accident rate with broaden adaptability to regolith layer drilling. With the stimulated lunar regolith, the experimental research is respectively made on traditional borehole drilling, downhole coring tool, lunar surface sampling tool, soft bag overturning coring tool and double-tube (inner and outer tubes) coring tool, it shows the combined coring tool with inner and outer tubes can meet the requirements of China’s lunar sample drilling and returning.

Abstract:Based on the present situation of the development of mineral resources in China, by the comparison analysis on the existing core drills both in China and abroad, YDX-1 portable core drill was developed with characteristics of high-efficiency, lightweight and portable, modular and fully hydraulic top driving. The related data in drill operation and drilling process are collected, analyzed and processed by electro-hydraulic control, virtual instrument and internet network technologies; the drill rig fault diagnosis and treatment, the recognition of operating conditions and automatic processing of typical conditions, drilling parameters optimization, remote data transmission and monitoring are carried out to realize the automation control of drilling process. The practice proves that YDX-1 portable core drill has the characteristics of excellent performance with reasonable design layout, wide application, high reliability, high mechanization degree, good overall quality and strong adaptability of drilling technology; it is a new generation of drilling machine for exploration in mountainous and inconvenient traffic areas.

Abstract:In the drilling process of ZK1010 which is a deep exploration hole of Yuquan manganese mine in Xiushan of Chongqing, drill pipe breaking often happened. Drill pipe falling often occurred during tripping out process, which made the accidents even worse. Finally, by the use of releasing fishing spear, the drill rod breaking is successfully handled for times. The paper introduces the releasing fishing spear about its working principle and advantages.

Abstract:ZLG22 m screw pile drill is a new generation of piling machinery product; its main features are disassembly-free, small size and large transmission torque of power head. This paper introduces the power head about its structural characteristics, technical parameters and the practical application in project construction site. This product absorbs the advantages of power head made in China and has the characteristics of small size, large torque and convenient maintenance.

Abstract:Northwest Jurassic roof cracks water is the main type of water disaster of coal mine in China, the roof water seriously influences the normal production and causes hidden dangers for safety. The control scheme of roof water drainage by long directional borehole was put forward by directional drilling technology with MWD to solve this problem, and the drilling technology and drilling equipments have been matched. The test has implemented smoothly in 3121 working face of Hongliu mine, which shows the average water discharging amount of the long directional borehole is 269 times of that of the conventional borehole in adjacent working face, the discharging amount is 415 times of that of the conventional borehole in the same discharging cycle. Drainage was simultaneously carried out in 2 roof aquifers, the safe mining requirements are achieved with drainage effect in the advance long distance regions and 78% construction period being saved. The practice proves that directional drilling with MWD has broad application prospect in the roof water control.

Abstract:Well ZKX is located in the salt bed of Yexian with the purpose of the salt mine survey in Yexian-Wuyang depression of Henan. The planned depth of the wellbore was 2630 m, and the continuous coring was operated from 2000 to 2400m. Mainly the sedimentary strata of mud shale, sandstone, and the salt rocks were drilled; there were difficulties in anti-sloughing, core protection and wellbore stability in drilling construction. On the basis of the optimization of the drilling fluid system and according to the different strata, the anti sloughing drilling fluid system, unsaturated salt water drilling fluid system and saturated salt water drilling fluid system were used respectively, which solves the technical difficulties of anti-sloughing in water sensitive shale and problems of drilling fluid for continuous coring in halite stratum. A set of technical ideas has been explored for low cost drilling fluid which is suitable to core drilling in salt bed.

Abstract:Deformation failures occur easily at multilateral wells connector in unstable formations. Therefore, a multilateral connection assembly is designed with 2 main prefabricated units, a template and a connector. These parts form a whole continuous mechanical structure after being locked by a tongue-in-groove trapezoidal rail. The designed gap and tolerance of this match satisfy the requirement for hydraulic seal of the connector. The analysis is processed on displacement and internal stress of the connection assembly under 3 separate formation pressures by using finite element numerical simulation. The results show that the deformation is very small and the maximum internal stress is less than the yield stress of N80 steel, which indicates that the connection assembly has a strong resistance to geo-mechanical forces.

Abstract:Well XPing1 is the first shallow extended reach horizontal well drilled by Yanchang Petroleum to develop the shallow, low permeability and low abundance oil reservoirs of Eastern Ordos Basin. Technical challenges of angle building and holding control, cuttings transportation in long horizontal hole section, large frictional resistance during trip and pressurized bit were overcome in the construction of this shallow horizontal well, which was finished at measured depth of 1366m with 1003.58m horizontal extension and 499.16m vertical depth. The ratio of horizontal extension to vertical depth is 2.01∶1. The finishing drilling of this well indicates that the high effective development of shallow, low permeability and low abundance oil reservoirs of Eastern Ordos Basin has become possible.

Abstract:The particularity of high-radioactive waste fluid deposit determines the very strict requirements on the drilling construction for the location investigation of deposit site, especially in the exceptional large scaled tectonic crushed zone and complicated geological conditions. During the drilling operation of BS02 in Beishan of Gansu, many different technical measures were used, the large tectonic crushed zone and complicated formation were drilled through for Shiyuejing construction to meet the design requirements and ensure the engineering quality and hydrogeological test effect.

Abstract:The paper introduces the main types of geothermal resource and the structure of the reservoir as well as the reservoir and geographical distribution in Guizhou, describes the current drilling technology and major equipments used for deep geothermal drilling, including well structure, commonly-used drilling rig, bottom hole assembly, commonly-used mud and solid control system, drilling fluid and the research situation of cementing technology. The existing problems of geothermal drilling in Guizhou are analyzed, and the suggestion of introducing new technology and new equipment is put forward.

Abstract:In deep mineral resources exploration, more and more boreholes with depth of more than 500m are used, and the deviation becomes increasingly prominent. Based on the inclination survey data from a fluorite ore, the analysis is made on the causes of borehole deviation from the geological conditions and drilling construction technology, the analysis is indicated that there is still some regularities to follow. The special wheel effect is the basic reason which leads drilling azimuth deviation to the rotation direction; the special geologic structure and improper construction technologies are the main factors which cause abnormal drilling deviation. Therefore, the prevention measures must be prepared in geological design and construction process.

Abstract:Pure cement slurry has been used to plug leakage in drilling engineering. For the serious leakage, collapse and sticking in complex formations drilling, effective cement slurry and rational plugging technology must be used to prevent the loss of flushing fluid. The analysis is made on the performance variation of cement-clay slurry with bentonite, water glass and water reducing agent adding, and the optimized formulation of the cement-clay slurry is obtained, good effects have been received in the practical engineering project with higher drilling efficiency.

Abstract:Based on the study on the formation characteristics of Jinlongshan gold mining area in Shannxi, the causes of unstability are analyzed, the compound mud formula of KCl-PHPA and SD vegetable gum is put forward by test. The problems existing in the unstable formation in this area are effectively solved by the application of this compound mud with lowered rate of drilling accident.

Abstract:Based on the natural geographical conditions of Songpu highway bridge in Harbin and the parameters required by architectural design, the key links of the geotechnical engineering investigation are determined. The paper elaborates the control of key investigation processes including platform building, drill and coring technologies, mud protection and samples storage. Based on the investigation results, the calculation was made on the bearing capacity of pile foundation and ground subsidence, and the recommended pile type was presented.

Abstract:According to the advantages and disadvantages of pre-stressed anti-floating uplift and partially-bonded pre-stressed anti-floating uplift as well as the application limitation in the world, stress-dispersion pre-stressed uplift with steel and strand cage serial techniques were researched to be applied in an uplift project by rotary drilling. The large tonnage test pile was used on the engineering piles with reasonable stress, low cost and short construction period; the practice proves its good application prospect.

Abstract:The soil layer in Kunming is mostly formed by the deposition of ancient Dianchi, thick silt soil exists in the underground. The pile anchor structure is commonly used for foundation pit retaining in this area. The innovative application of double-row piles retaining was carried out in a project with good effects. According to this project construction, the paper analyzes the retaining characteristics, calculation model and construction effect, summarizes the technical experience and puts forward the improvement suggestions to double-row piles retaining in silt soft soil layer.

Abstract:In a construction for handling loess collapse with lime-soil compaction pile in Zhengzhou, there was still slight collapse in some individual horizons after the treatment. By the analysis on loess collapse mechanics, principles of collapse treatment with lime-soil compaction pile and some engineering problems, it is found that the unsuitable boring method for lime-soil pile and not enough compaction impact force are the main causes. By taking impact compaction boring and increasing the weight of compact hammer for backfilling from 100kg to 200kg, the loess collapse are all eliminated.
