Abstract:On the basis of a large number of relevant literatures and reports, the research and application progress of drilling fluid technology in recent years are summarized, which are introduced in two aspects: new slurry making material & mud treatment agent and new flushing fluid system; the former involving slurry material, strong inhibitor, high-temperature resistance treatment agent, plugging materials, nano processing agent and modified natural polymer treatment agents; the latter including a film-forming anti-collapse solid-free flushing liquid, double polymer collapse-preventing flushing liquid and a circulating foam washing liquid.

Abstract:The paper gives an account of the construction process of 5# rescue hole in the collapse accident in Pingyi gypsum mine on Dec. 25, 2015. The application situation of RB-T90 drilling rig (made by Bauer of Germany) by Huainan rescue team of national mine emergency rescue organization matching with SG219/152 double-wall drill tools (made by Shijiazhuang Mineral Exploration Machinery Factory of the Land and Resources Exploration Center of Hebei Provincial Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources) is introduced in detail, the formation conditions, borehole design, drilling tool configuration, construction process, difficulties encountered and the final solution are also stated.

Abstract:In the collapse accident in Pingyi gypsum mine rescue, the underground channel was blocked. The rescue plan with large diameter drilling rig was determined to avoid the secondary accident. Several drilling rigs were put into use, BG26 and BG38 rotary drilling rigs were used for upper hole drilling segment and RB-T90 and T200XD multi-function drill for lower segment. The trapped persons were rescued while getting to the final depth, which created the first rescue case by drilling hole from the ground in the history of China’s mine rescue. The paper introduces the control on key technologies of rotary drilling rig in rescue hole construction process, such as bit selection, protection tube embedment and verticality control in borehole drilling; borehole collapse was avoided by protection tube lowering, skilled operation and dry-hole drilling.

Abstract:The stratum was hard and compact with weak abrasiveness, stuctural development, easily inclining and complex lithology in Beijing Fengjiayu iron mine. The inclination angle change range was large (-55~60 ) in tunnel horizontal drilling; during upward hole construction, the flushing fluid was easy to outflow down along the drill pipe, which caused great harm to constructor and drilling equipment. The hidden dangers in the tunnel brought difficulities to drilling construction. Therefore, some measures were chosen to ensure construction quality and safety, such as selecting Z7559 full hydraulic drilling machine with light-weight main body and small installation space, full-packed assembly, custom-made soft matrix diamond bit, rational selection and adjustment of flushing fluid properties and pump volume, proper adjusting drilling parameters, restricting roundtrip meterage and reasonable installation of drilling machine.

Abstract:The geological structure is very complex in Xiaoqinling area with thick crushed stratum. Different degrees of bit burning accidents often appear in the drilling construction in this area, which seriously affected the drilling efficiency and drilling cost. For bit burning accident in Q8ZK801, through the methods of reverse screwing the pipe and milling the drilling tools matched with processed simplified wire-line fishing tool and milling centralizer, the accidents have been successfully resolved with good effect. This paper analyzes and summarizes the accident causes and bit burning accident handling methods in detail and discusses the prevention to provide reference to mining area drilling.

Abstract:Polar drilling practice reveals the complicated geological conditions near the bottom of ice sheet and the ice-rock interface; warm ice, basal melt water and even the debris-rich ice with unequal thickness may exist, these conditions make coring drilling extremely difficult. The optimization of bit types and the determination of reasonable drilling parameters become important factors to ensure safe and rapid drilling. In this paper, an experimental table is introduced, which can stimulate rotary drilling in ice with adjustable bit pressure and rotation speed of 0~10kN and 0~300r/min respectively and the maximum torque about 100N·m. By this experimental table, the temperature of bit, borehole depth, drilling speed and some other parameters can be measured to provide means for further research on the influence of bit type and structure parameters on torque and cutting temperature. Ice drilling experiment was carried out with PDC bit; the results show that the experimental requirements can be met by this table with accurately adjusted drilling pressure and speed.

Abstract:In order to reduce the damage to fluidic element caused by stress waves from impacting cylinder in a return-stroke of the fluidic hydraulic hammer piston to prolong the life of the fluidic element, a disc spring buffer structure in the cylinder was proposed to absorb the striking energy of hammer stroke. The simulation analysis was carried out on the piston return-stroke by the means of LS-DYNA display dynamic analysis to study the effect of the disc spring buffer on the stress state of bi-stable fluidic amplifier. The results show the feasiblility of disc spring buffer structure in the actual work of hydraulic hammer, the maximum stress can be decreased by 40%~57% in bi-stable fluidic amplifier and the stress state of fluidic element is effectively improved.

Abstract:The paper describes a new type of multi-purpose underground drill. It combines rotator of spindle rig with 360 turning, and for the advantages of lower energy-consuming mechanical driving and convenient maintenance, the main parts of current GXY-2 series rigs are adopted with lower and upper hydraulic chucks and positioning outfit adding to realize all-direction holes construction, the cost of manufacture, application and maintenance are greatly reduced. It is proved by in-plant debugging and preliminary production test that the performance of the drill is fully realized.

Abstract:The analysis is made on the stress state of negative angle thread of wire-line coring drill pipe, the thread stress situation and anti-twist property of CNHT drill pipe used for deep hole wire-line core drilling are calculated based on static and material mechanics. Theoretical calculations and static torsion test were taken on negative angle thread with different taper and tooth height. It is found that theoretical results and test results are very close; by which, the accuracy of the calculation method is determined and the parameters of negative angle thread with strong anti-twist property are optimized and summarized.

Abstract:To improve the movement convenience of drilling rig, simplify the tower erecting process and increase the construction efficiency, an integrated drilling rig is developed, which is consisted with backward-moving drilling rig on rubber track and hydraulic lift collapsible triangle tower. In order not to affect the original inclined hole drilling function and further improve the automation level, rotation outrigger structure is designed on drill frame and manual chuck being changed into hydraulic one. The paper introduces this integrated drilling rig with tower and track about its structure and some parameter selection calculation.

Abstract:Rotary digging is commonly used pile construction method in China, because of the properties of high efficiency, low noise, environmental protection and high quality of hole forming, rotary drilling rig has wide range of construction. Different types of bit should be chosen to meet different construction formations. By the rational selection and the use of auger drill bits, the construction technology and application field of auger drill can be enriched and broadened. The establishment of auger drill bit database system can provide data support for design, manufacture and type selection of auger drill bit to meet the increasingly complex construction requirements. Abstract:In view of the higher requirements on flushing fluid properties by new drilling technique, new method, new technology and new tool, such as hydro-hammer and down-hole dynamic drilling tool, the solid control system of flushing fluid circulation in the geological core drilling is developed according to the construction site situation. The whole circulation system is configured with mud cleaner and the two-stage purifying equipment centrifuge and designed with integrate module with properties of strong adaptability, convenient transportation, safety and reliability.

Abstract:There were no large-scale excavation conditions for the drainage culvert project of Fuqing nuclear power plant and the soil layer contained rubble and riprap, it was difficult for pile-forming and water stopping could not be realized. The combination application of high pressure jet grouting and curtain grouting water sealing technologies were explored for slope support and water sealing. It is proved that by the engineering practice, good results are achieved in construction speed, safety construction, civilized construction and economic benefit with these two methods, which can be reference to the future projects with similar geotechnical conditions.

Abstract:Concrete quality is the key factor to affect the frame structure of pre-stressed anchor cable (bar) and also directly affects the slope reinforcement effect. High slope frame cast-in-place concrete is restricted by field conditions with segregation, uncompleted vibration tamping, slurry leakage, template swell and high labor cost, all the above can be effectively solved by dry spraying concrete. Combined with the successful experience in the pre-stressed anchor frame construction in Xiaochangba mine environmental restoration project (the second phase) of Gansu Province, this paper introduces the technical points of the dry spraying concrete construction technology.

Abstract:Fuzhou subway Line 1 was planned to cross an island in middle of the river and the shield tool changing area was to set up on the island. Stability reinforcement should be made for excavation face of tool changing area; the upper part was medium-fine sand with strong permeability and poor stability. MJS method was adopted in the design for strengthening and water sealing with pile diameter≥2200mm and overlapping 700mm. On the island, there was 5.6m thickness of miscellaneous fill layer, followed by silt, medium sand and fine sand layers, drilling was difficult for MJS method because of the risks of drill pipe holding and burying. High-power top drive drilling rig can easily pass through backfill and sand layers with double-pipe. A certain length outer casing was retained in the sand as protecting casing to prevent hole collapse, guide-hole difficulties for MJS construction method in complex strata were successfully resolved.

Abstract:The seepage at bored concrete pile head has influence to pile concrete stress and foundation bottom waterproof, even leads to corrosion of the reinforcing steel in concrete structure. Combined with the engineering case, the analysis was made to find the main causes of pile head seepage: lack of operation experience and responsibility, unqualified grouting tools, improper concrete quality indexes, too fast pipe drawing at grouting completion, inaccurate measurement of the exceeding height for grouting standard, high water content of foundation soil, high water pressure and etc. with treatment measures of part digging out or blockage by grouting being put forward. The paper introduces the prevention measures including personnel training, apparatus examination, concrete quality control, grouting finishing condition inspection and foundation pit dewatering.

Abstract:During the construction process of TBM assemble hole ledge beam, because of the geological conditions and artificial influence factors, the ledge beam could not be formed or there would be some defects in rock bench of ledge beam, which were serious security risks to the next installation of crane track in upper part of ledge beam. With the research background of TBM assemble hole ledge beam of the 3rd contract section in main channel of transferring water from Songhuajiang River, the detailed analysis and study were carried out to put forward processing technology of ledge beam defects. The verified research results have some reference values to the similar project.
