Abstract:Bedding formations are often encountered in drilling operations. On the basis of the stress tensor coordinate transforming relation and the borehole stress concentration equation, both the weak-plane shear slip criterion and rock mass Mogi-Coulomb criterions are introduced to build an analysis model for borehole stability. Researches on the reasonable drilling fluid density and safe drilling direction in typical reservoirs show that the existence of bedding plane significantly aggravates the rock damage and changes the damage position on the borehole wall; the collapse pressure of horizontal well continually varies along with the changes of drilling direction, thus the minimum collapse pressure is obtained in a particular drilling direction; in the inclined borehole, the minimum collapse pressure direction acquired is not vertical to the bedding plane experimentally, while the symmetrical inclined boreholes about principal planes have the same fracture pressure in space; the optimum drilling direction is the one with both larger safe density window of drilling fluid and smaller collapse pressure, and the drilling trajectory curve should be controlled strictly in the azimuth where the density window of drilling fluid changes greatly.

Abstract:If wanting to get the ideal coring effect in the quaternary system and neogene , you must overcome the coring difficulties during drilling in flow model, RuanSu silt stratum , which are core block,washing out and disturbed samples etc. in the sand,Three layer tube coring drilling tool with bottom jet bit is mainly designed for quaternary loose and neogene, weak formation coring drilling and the structure is improved during drilling. The drilling tool is tested in the East China Sea the CSDP-2 holes in the quaternary, and it shows that the newly improved structure of the drilling tool could obtain the very good coring effect.

Abstract:The analysis is made on the geological characteristics of hot dry rock which is a kind of clean and reusable energy and the technical difficulties that might be encountered in drilling construction, such as high temperature and large drilling depth. On this basis, the application of hydraulic hammer drilling technology in hot dry rock field is discussed. According to the present technical level and construction ability, hot dry rock drilling needs 2 steps; with the present technical performance index, hydraulic hammer has the basic conditions for the first step drilling of 3000-6000m in well depth at the temperature of 150-350 ℃. The solution to the key technology improvement is also put forward.

Abstract:Wudi-1 is a geological survey well in Ermahu depression of Wuwei basin and the drilling project is located in the hinterland of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Tengger Desert with bad construction conditions. The main lithologies of upper Quaternary overburden are yellow sand and red fine sand with large thickness, being loose and easy to collapse. According to the drilling difficulties of Wudi-1, the measures were taken in site construction, drilling equipments selection, casing program, and drilling fluid, the experience has been accumulated for drilling construction in desert area.

Abstract:According to the complicated long-section well kick & circulation loss, loose and broken formations, the drilling method with foam mud or aerated mud is put forward to balance the formation pressure, which has dual role on wall protection and flushing fluid leakage prevention to realize continuous plugging and wall protection, and is helpful to improve drilling efficiency and reduce cost. This is a new technical means developed for drilling construction in water deficient area and full loss stratum.

Abstract:Tongjinshan mining area is located in Golmud City, as one of the 11 green exploration demonstration projects of Qinghai Province implemented in 2016, it is taken as an example in this paper. In the drilling construction, according to the general situation of the project, the specific green exploration technology program was selected to form the replicable and available experience. It is concluded by the analysis that green exploration technology can be applied in high altitude, harsh natural conditions and sparse vegetation area, and the available experience are summarized in equipment selection, road construction, the construction area and living area construction and other auxiliary processes. But due to the limitation of the mining area, the further study should be made on the core technologies which affect drilling construction, such as the use of environmental protection flushing fluid.

Abstract:The 3709~4025m section of SX2 well in Tahe oilfield is in Permian igneous rock formation, where the fracture developed and several leakage happened in this 316m section and lower section during drilling process. Leakage could not be stopped by the efforts of bridging and cement plugging and the total loss occurred while drilling through the Permian at 5340m depth. The chemical consolidation plugging technology was used. The chemical consolidation slurry prepared by the chemical consolidation plugging agent has excellent properties such as high pressure bearing capacity (48h strength can reach above 17MPa), good temperature resistant (180℃) and good rheological property. This Permian leakage layer was divided into 2 sections and plugged by the chemical consolidation plugging technology, the pressure test presents that the pressure bearing capacity of the leakage layer is increased from 1.20g/cm3 to 1.56g/cm3, which meets the requirements of the subsequent drilling.

Abstract:The rotary steering and the logging while drilling systems can effectively control the well trajectory and quickly identify the formation property, which can greatly improve the operation efficiency and reduce the operation cost, especially in offshore oil and gas development; but this field has been monopolized by foreign oil companies with high rental prices for a long time. Welleader rotary steering system and Drilog logging while drilling system developed by CNOOC have been tested for times and up to application requirements. These systems were used in an adjustment well drilling on a platform in Bohai, the application results prove that the trajectory control of rotary steering system can satisfy the directional well trajectory requirements; the accuracy of the measured data and the quality of the well logging are in line with the standard requirements, by which the trajectory control and logging are realized in drilling process.

Abstract:A new type of intra-tube sealing device for stratified pumping was designed and manufactured in order to meet the requirements of water sealing in stratified pumping test and observation. This new sealing device has the advantages of simple structure and can be conveniently processed with on-site materials with reliable sealing effect; the shortcomings of traditional sealing method are overcome, the upper and lower aquifers can be effectively isolated to prevent the water mixing flowing of upper and lower aquifers. Thus, rapid stratified water sealing inside pumping tube in a same well can be realized, which ensures the operation of stratified pumping test.

Abstract:The thread gluing, bending and fracture of conventional drill pipe often occur during large diameter long horizontal directional borehole drilling at the high position of coal mine roof. The analysis is made on the working state of drill string and the stress mode of drill string and finite element analysis mode are established, the main reasons of pipe failure is defined. By optimizing thread tooth type and joint connection form, φ73 drill pipe is developed with high toughness and strength, which can overcome drill pipe rupture, thread gluing and some other disadvantages to meet the requirements of large diameter long horizontal directional borehole drilling construction at high position of coal mine roof.

Abstract:The rough economic development has led to a large number of damaged mountains and resulted in deterioration of the surrounding environment, it is difficult to resume. At present, the main ways for treatment of the damaged mountains are earth sheltered plantation and ecological reconstruction, which need to spend a lot of money, even destroy the ecological environment of borrowed soil source area. The project presented in this paper is the design and construction of transforming abandoned limestone mine to 53photovoltaic power station on mountain, mainly by slope zone cutting, dangerous stone prying out, active network laying, passive network erecting and some other methods, the possibility of cliff surface collapse and the influence scope are effectively reduced to prepare a lot of space for photovoltaic facilities. Furthermore, a simple means of transportation is invented, which can solve the cliff top material transportation.

Abstract:The reinforcement processing of fine silty sand layer has been the important subject in the engineering field, for it is hard to achieve the desired effect by the traditional grouting method. In view of this situation, the vibrating grouting method is put forward in recent years. However, there are many discrepancies between present vibration grouting simulation tests and the actual working conditions. A test device has been creatively designed, which can satisfy the regulation of freedom vibration frequency and vibration effects is closed to the actual conditions. Comparing the grouting effects of the indoor static pressure grouting test to the audio frequency vibration grouting test, the following conclusions are presented: under the same pressure, the vibration grouting can effectively increase the grouting quantity with better reinforcement effect compared with the static pressure grouting; the appropriate increase of vibration frequency can effectively accelerate the speed of grouting and increase the grouting quantity which has certain practical significance for the project with time limit. However too high frequency is not totally beneficial to the grouting effect, it is crucial to select the optimum grouting frequency according to the actual condition. Under high frequency vibration, the extension of time has less influence to the grouting effect.

Abstract:According to a workshop indoor ground slab settlement in Ningbo, based on the analysis on the settlement reasons and trend, the comparison is made on several reinforcement methods by considering the special conditions of this project, anchor pile beam-slab structure is determined to be adopted to deal with the indoor ground slab settlement. A multifunctional small static pile driver is developed, multi-stage extrusion and expansion thorough backfill method is used with small ground surface damage to solve the construction difficulties and realize the smooth construction of special engineering project in complex environment conditions. This project treatment has achieved good effects.

Abstract:Zhongning County is located in the middle Yellow River. Yellow River beach groundwater is supplied by Yellow River, which has great potential for mining water. For the riverside well field in the Quaternary clay sand gravel stratum of Zhongning Yellow River beach, radial well was selected to be water conservancy building and 5 wells were completed. The collecting well was constructed with reverse circulation method and special bit was equipped to fish the boulders in aquifer with particle size more than 200mm, the horizontal radiation tube was constructed by full hydraulic horizontal drilling rig with torque, thrust force, pulling force and vibro-compaction. The “equivalent big diameter well” was used to calculate pumping capacity of radial well. The data of pumping test and related information were analyzed to compare the stable water yield and drawdown of radial well, tubular well and large diameter well, the results show that the radial well is an effective way for the exploitation in the similar water resources.

Abstract:This paper introduces a deep foundation pit support project in urban area ofJinan, which was constructed under the conditions of complex surrounding environment and limited land area. The composite soil-nailing wall support technology used in this project is analyzed, with its characteristics of various forms and flexible combination, the advantages of each component in the assembly gave full play. The construction points and key technical measures of each construction procedure are summarized. The monitoring data show that the small displacement and deformation have no adverse affects to the surrounding environment and the support system has good effect.

Abstract:According to the typical strong abrasive formations in Qinghai province dongkunlun and qimantage area, the research and analysis were made for impregnated diamond bit in matrix materials, diamond concentration and sintering technology. The bench tests and field texts for bits were carried out. On the basis of the test data, the design of the bit was determined, and a new type impregnated diamond bit suitable to the strong abrasive formations has been developed.

Abstract:Fault fracture zones are often encountered in open TBM tunneling process, and the solution has already been put forward by the industry. But in debris-flows-like adverse geological conditions, it is hard for TBM to get through only by its own capacity and the existing treatment methods, it is necessary to take special construction measures working together. Based on the treatment of debris-flows-like adverse geological tunnel section in the third bid section of Jilin water supply project by diverting Songhua River, a complete set of construction technology is formed for open TBM tunneling through debris-flows-like adverse geological tunnel section, that is advanced pipe roof support used in fragment stones and fault gouge section, and water plugging & grouting reinforcement technology combining with combined support technology of spray anchor net steel arch formworking concrete used in debris-flows-like adverse geological tunnel section. The engineering practice proves the feasibility of this technology.

Abstract:Jiubu tunnel leakage is of fissure seepage under pressure conditions, mainly for seepage at local ballast bed and local sidewall structural joints. This railway line has been put into traffic operation for years, the leakage is increasing day by day. In summer, ballast bed wet traction caused by local water accumulation and walking board wet traction caused by seepage at side wall would appear. The combined process of dredging and plugging is adopted, that is by drilling water conducting hole to lead the confined water out of the side wall masonry to the collecting wells and setting tubes to inject glue for plugging, good results have been achieved.
